40 Days at Hope Fellowship

We have just finished the 40 Days Of Purpose campaign here at HFCC. Celebration Sunday consisted of balloons and streamers on the platform and opening with Celebration from Kool and the Gang. At the end of the service we had the baptism of a young man who had recently made a commitment to Christ. Following the service we had a celebration dinner.
40 Days was definitely a growing experience for me. Our church didn't really see so much numerical growth, but that wasn't so bad. We got a few new people and they seem to be excited about what is going on. The real growth took place in our people. Personally, I hosted a small group and we had a great time. We have committed to another study entitled "Authentic Relationships." Some people chose not to participate and I think they missed out on a time of unity in our church. I mean we were all (supposed to be) reading the same chapters that coincided with the messages each week; we were all doing the same small group study. We did have a hurricane that messed things up a little but we pressed on.
God showed me what my purpose in life was and just what I am really supposed to be focusing on while I am here. My main purpose is to Worship Him and my passion is to help people understand what true worship is. I should maintain a lifestyle of worship and not consider that something I do for an hour on Sunday. Worship is complete and total surrender to God and
letting Him take control.
